Below Deck Med star admits he wants to quit show as he’s ‘not getting morning erection’

Below Deck Med star Max Salvador admitted he wanted to quit show as he was ‘not getting morning wood’ and hated that all the crew turmoil was affecting the health of his manhood

Below Deck Mediterranean star Max Salvador confessed he wanted to quit show as his mood was so bad, he had lost his morning erections.

The deckhand has been struggling with the drama on-board, especially with Kyle Viljoen after their recent argument. And this led to him saying he wanted to leave amid all the crew turmoil… because it was stopping his morning erections.

In this week’s episode, Lara Du Preez told him to speak to Captain Sandy Yawn if he was going to quit so she could get in a replacement before the next charter. Max, who joined mid-way through season eight, then admitted he wanted to quit the cult show as he was missing his morning “Eiffel Tower”.

Speaking in the confessionals, he said: “I’m not happy, there’s so much ugliness and it’s affecting me. When I don’t wake up in the morning like ‘cockadoodledoo’, I don’t get the Eiffel Tower.

“My body is telling me, ‘No, no.’ The body is the master, so, Ok, I have received the call. I’m giving, like, one more charter, but yeah, I’m not going to waste my time and my energy because of a bad environment.”

But when he told his plans to walk away for his personal well-being to Captain Sandy, they went down like a sinking ship and she refused to let him go. Running into Sandy out on deck, she paid him a compliment, saying, “you’re funny Max,” after they had a morning hello exchange.

Max liked the sentiment but brought up to Sandy his intentions of wanting to leave the boat because he wasn’t feeling like himself. A shocked Captain Sandy quipped, “What?” before reiterating, “You’re going to leave?”

Max says he was. But Captain Sandy responded by saying “no” with a disappointed and direct tone. Later, after deciding to stay and his mood changed, he joked: “Bonjour, the Eiffel Tower is back!”

“When I thought to leave and I saw how people was liking me, there is love, there is a little family here,” he admitted. “I love this team. I want to prove they can count on me. Lily came, she brought her energy. I have new goals, new vision.”

Max came onto Motoryacht Mustique during episode three after Luka Brunson stepped into the role of Bosun, and the deck team was down a member. However, Max, from France, got off to a tricky start because of his language barrier and his work ethic not being up to his teammates’ standards.

However, this season turned around after Luka and lead deckhand Lara changed their critical managerial styles and started showering Max with praise, and his defiant attitude quickly turned into a hardworking one. Unfortunately for Max, the boat dynamics among the other crew members have not improved and impacted his usual morning glory.

Max had gotten a verbal bashing from stew Kyle for saying “straights” were part of the LGBT+ community, when he meant he was an ally. Max also had to see Kyle and Natalya Scudder come to blows after the argument.

Kyle said some pretty hurtful things to Natalya, which ultimately caused her to leave the boat. The turbulence and tension of the entire situation really got under Max’s skin, and he separated himself from the crew the following day when they were all off.
