Below Deck Mediterranean’s Aesha Scott Could Be The Problem With The Crew Amid Poor Performance Allegations

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 has seen the Mustique’s crew consistently struggling through their duties on the superyacht, but could Chief Stew Aesha Scott be the issue with the interior team? While Below Deck Mediterranean season 9’s crew has been working hard to ensure they’re giving guests the best experience possible, there have been some issues throughout the charter season. For Chief Stew Aesha, who’s worked under Captain Sandy Yawn in the past along with Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers, taking on a new team seemed like it would be easy. Unfortunately, Aesha wasn’t ready for the drama.

Having dealt with her issues as a Stew in the past, Aesha wasn’t entirely ready for the problems that seemed to be waiting for her aboard Mustique when she joined as Chief Stew. Having cut her teeth on Below Deck Down Under season 2, where she had to deal with a major case of sexual misconduct from exterior team member Luke Jones with her Stew Margot Sisson, Aesha appeared to be ready for anything when it came to the charter season. After meeting her two Stews, Ellie Dubaich and Bri Muller, Aesha realized she could be in over her head.

She Believed She Was Ready

While Aesha had been a Chief Stew in the past, working as a Chief Stew beneath Captain Sandy was a new experience entirely. She was excited to be getting the chance to work with the storied Captain, but Aesha wasn’t totally ready for what was waiting for her as Captain Sandy’s Chief Stew. With the interior team having no choice but to be down a Stew due to cabin space, the team all had to pitch in with more effort than usual, and the interpersonal issues between Aesha’s stews was tough to manage.

Aesha Has Been Passive In Her Management Style

She Hasn’t Been Laying Down The Law

During her time as Chief Stew aboard Mustique, Aesha struggled to be assertive with what she wanted from her team. While Ellie and Bri were struggling through a strange love triangle that made them personally distrustful of each other, Aesha simply heard both of them out about their issues rather than trying to find a way to get them to put their personal problems to rest. Instead of telling Ellie and Bri to get over their problems, or even trying to mediate things between the two of them, Aesha was far more hands-off than it felt like she should’ve been.

• Aesha’s time on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 was fun to watch, but her management style wasn’t the best aboard Mustique. When dealing with a team that’s already short-handed, choosing to be more passive about potential issues isn’t necessarily the right answer. Instead, Aehsa should’ve been able to handle talking to her Stews about the issues impacting their performance. While she may not have been able to fire the Stews for their problems, the Below Deck Mediterranean stew could’ve been more assertive with her instructions and pushed them to move forward. If Aesha had been firmer, they may have improved.
