Ben Willoughby had a rough Season 10 on Below Deck. He and Captain Lee Rosbach got along well enough, but some of his fellow yachties failed to love his womanizing ways. Ben returned to filming for Season 11, where Captain Kerry Titheradge took over the wheelhouse. Unlike before, Ben and his main boss failed to get along, but if you ask Ben, Captain Kerry is the issue, as we will all soon (maybe) see.
Ominous. It’s giving deflection. Thankfully, Captain Kerry has at least one solid supporter in this franchise via Elena Dubaich. She just called Ben out with a quickness that I highly admire.

The boys are fighting, but I don’t think Captain Kerry is as involved in this tit-for-tat as Ben is. It all began when Captain Kerry gave an interview, suggesting that Ben was not his first pick as a Bosun. We all remember this storyline from Season 11. But to recap, if not, the Bosun got fired, and Ben stepped into his spot.
Once Ben saw this interview, he went online, revealing his disappointment over his former boss’s words. As Season 12 prepares to launch, likely without Ben’s presence, @Dustin_Cone, a viewer after my own heart, took to X, writing, “Considering you insulted Captain Kerry… not surprising he wouldn’t want you back.” Quick with a nuh-uh, Ben responded, penning, “Time will tell that man’s true character.”
This fan returned to the thread, stating that Captain Kerry “seems like a solid Captain” in their eyes. Elena is equally saying WTF, as two things now trip her up. How others run their laundry systems, and how Ben responds to criticism.
“I know Capt Kerry personally, he’s been nothing but supportive and an absolute ride or die. I don’t have a single bad word to say about him. So … this statement sounds like a projection,” Elena quipped, making me laugh from the comforts of my living room.
